Toxicology deals with the branch of science that compacts with poisons where a poison can be well-defined as any material that causes a risky effect when directed. Toxicology is the study of dangerous effects caused by physical phenomena, such as radiation of various kinds and noise. Many difficulties exist beyond these simple definitions in bringing more precise meaning to what establishes a poison and to the capacity of toxic effects. The study of the discovery, existence, properties, effects, and regulation of toxic substances although more descriptive, do not resolve the difficulties.
